<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you have lost one or more of your original pearly whites, here are five important facts you should know about dental implants and why it is they are regarded by many as the best the dental industry has to offer!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="New Teeth Implants" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjllGvtI1Lsi2Ayq7ueBHmu7XH9xvQajCBGWo8Ltv1arsNmxhW8xaoTG1EGmSOGwdNrjlCkPUzk4W84OCzduGuugFBfsMo6s71zGLcuh5zG_cjYZzWYAyiTj-lELcBrKf2GqeNRXEeCsG0/s1600/New+Teeth+Implants.jpg" height="126" hspace="10" title="New Teeth Implants" vspace="5" width="200" />
<b># 1</b> New teeth implants are the only dental devices that replace the crowns AND the roots of the missing tooth or teeth. Both tooth-supported bridges, partials and removable dentures only replace the visible portion of the missing teeth and this can be problematic in the long run.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“The roots of your teeth play a fundamental role in keeping the underlying bone tissue stimulated and healthy. So when this functional stimulation is taken away, the jawbone can begin to atrophy and waste away, which can have terrible consequences for a person’s overall oral health, facial appearance and candidacy for implants,” explains a dental implants surgeon in Rutherford. “This is one of many reasons we encourage patients to consider implants.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b># 2</b> <b><a href="http://vimeo.com/69945842" target="_blank">New teeth implants</a></b> are often regarded as being prohibitively expensive, when in fact, if you compared the cost of this once-time procedure to the accumulative expenses associated with wearing removable dentures, maintaining them and undergoing periodic re-fittings (as is necessary with dentures), then you’d end up with pretty much the same amount of money!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Patients who wear removable dentures often need to invest in products such as anesthetic creams for sore gums, adhesives to prevent their teeth from slipping and soaking solutions to store their dentures in overnight,” explains a dental implants surgeon in Rutherford. “Add these repeat expenses to the need to have ill-fitting dentures redone every few years and you’re looking at a teeth replacement technology that is deceptively expensive and frankly, poor value for money.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b># 3</b> New teeth implants are regarded as the best option available for most people who need one, several or even all of their teeth replaced, but they cannot rival the function and longevity of your biological technology: your own natural teeth. This is why your dentist always stresses the importance of good oral hygiene, a healthy diet and regular dental check-ups and professional cleanings.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Teeth Replacement Technologies" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx9KDmxc2qpA6n-86R0XCCB22XZPtX7c8k5u7KrEhA2b_H-jvAhi9T32aT0KWM-TZC8jrQVzZ1dmyb2Gu5-bqeB7ThaG_Nkrt4iHqxuvSiBWxB3u_GATdP-gShtD58gd-zcThgY7CoQok/s1600/teeth+replacement+technologies.jpg" height="108" hspace="10" title="Teeth Replacement Technologies" vspace="5" width="200" /><b># 4</b> Dental implants are made from titanium metal, which is the same stuff space crafts are made out of! Professional sports equipment and fighter jets are also made out of titanium, which is so useful because of its exceptional strength, durability, lightweight, non-corrodibility and non-toxicity. Additionally – and perhaps most importantly – titanium is bio-compatible, which means that the body does not typically reject it. It’s this property that allows the jawbone to heal around the new tooth implant, fixing it in place so that it functions like a natural tooth root.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b># 5</b> If placed by an experienced oral surgeon and cared for properly by the patient – who is presumably in good general and oral health – new teeth implants have the potential to last several decades without any trouble. In fact, they have the potential to last a lifetime!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b><i>This article explains why the All-on-4 is substantially less expensive than traditional dental implant techniques and how this can save patients tens of thousands of dollars.</i></b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Dental implants are typically the number one recommendation of dentists when it comes to addressing the need for new teeth. Not only do they look, function and feel more natural than other teeth replacement technologies, they also tend to last far longer and actively promote the health of the underlying jawbone. In spite of this, many New Jersey residents still opt for conventional devices, such as tooth-supported removable bridges or removable dentures. The reason for this is primarily a concern over the cost of new teeth. Dental implants are, unfortunately, more costly albeit for good reason.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This was especially the case with the traditional dental implant techniques used to treat patients who had lost most or even all of their natural teeth, or who had been diagnosed with a “failing” or “terminal” dentition as a result of gum disease. That was until the innovation of the All-on-4 dental implant technique, the key benefit of which is the much reduced new teeth implant cost! Let’s take a look at how this “breakthrough” technique is able to reduce of cost of new teeth by tens of thousands of dollars...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="All-on-4 Dental Implants" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHqqZwUlqgKEZDESduYv4PQqj_xl7RBxdNQMua9dxTe47I8mDWdOzqF35YnZC9iJN6HbkEzwPCBRe3NCXUKPwZMB6iW6ipslGxi8rDuw14y9wx4WuGPqWybS5U19TTYbCStypCx1PVU8g/s1600/All-on-4+Dental+Implants.jpg" height="108" hspace="10" title="All-on-4 Dental Implants" vspace="5" width="200" /><b>
1.</b> The All-on-4, as the name suggests, <b>only requires four dental implants</b> to provide New Jersey residents with a complete set of replacement teeth. Traditional techniques could require six, eight or even ten implants per jaw in order to give patients new teeth again! Half the number of implants translates into half the cost of new teeth.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>2.</b> The All-on-4 typically <b>only requires a single surgery</b>, whereas traditional techniques could see a patient coming in for multiple procedures over the course of 18 months. With typically only one procedure necessary, New Jersey residents are spared the multiple treatment sessions, X-rays, follow-up appointments and bills associated with multiple surgeries.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>3.</b> The All-on-4 <b>typically avoids the need for bone grafting surgery</b>, which is often needed by patients who have been living without teeth and/or with removable dentures for many years. As a result of this, they've lost a lot of bone volume in the jaw to atrophy and therefore require bone grafting so that their jawbones can actually accommodate dental implants. With the All-on-4, the strategic array of implants almost always avoids the need for bone grafting, thereby eliminating the expenses (often tens of thousands of dollars) associated with this invasive procedure.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Cost of New Teeth" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyobENA-faFNvHct1GtOdeSvX6U4YdLrX6m6iLlmApOEMaMeg2L14bthmb_UMiux2BounEgTx7FAzIv-KoVoDhp6UtYCGfbydM9gH3Bix30RfHM6-3kaDngTU9YJE0mbw0wq99W8Urwt8/s1600/Cost+of+New+Teeth.jpg" height="132" hspace="10" title="Cost of New Teeth" vspace="5" width="200" /><b>
4.</b> With only one surgery and one day out of commission, the All-on-4 also allows for indirect savings on the cost of new teeth implants. Patients spend much less time in recovery, which means that they can spend more time being productive and at work.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>A Final Note on the Cost of New Teeth</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Thanks to the innovation of the All-on-4 dental implant technique, the <b><a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/new-teeth-cost/new-teeth-cost.html" target="_blank">cost of new teeth implants</a></b> has become substantially lower and therefore more accessible to a wider audience. For those who need it, most dentists and dental implant facilities in New Jersey offer the support of medical financing companies, so be sure to enquire about that. </div>

Cosmetic Dentistry Could Save You The Trouble! PART 2<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome to the second half of this article series on the various steps one can take to drastically improving the quality of their smile, short of getting new teeth! In <a href="http://newteethoneday.blogspot.com/2014/03/want-to-get-new-teeth-cosmetic.html" target="_blank">Part 1</a>, a New Jersey dental implants surgeon explained the incredible benefits good oral hygiene, a professional teeth cleaning and frequent visits to the dentist can have upon the appearance of your smile. Good oral health is first and foremost what keeps your teeth and gums looking beautiful!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The next step for those who are essentially in good oral health but who still have discolored teeth would be a professional teeth whitening treatment, which can be done in-office or in the comfort of your own home. Now, in Part 2, we shall look at some of the restorative dental options for people who are simply not happy with their smiles.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Camouflage Imperfection with Dental Veneers</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="left" alt="Cosmetic Dentistry" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0lFV5qzszOMZFVWHuc0-h4-Z9kNGH1OwH6vtrsBs3KHgyl0hpQyRgvkZDNmhgY6mmUcAAIaMWMqhuLEZgEteeVkfG1aZrXc6HJnT7UwYbYoG7Gx4NjW4GDN1gOAo-mwrNUYYc0dg_d4k/s1600/Camouflage+Imperfection+with+Dental+Veneers.jpg" height="215" hspace="10" title="Camouflage Imperfection with Dental Veneers" vspace="5" width="220" />"Dental veneers are wonderful cosmetic restorations that can make it look like you have new teeth," says the New Jersey dental implants surgeon. "The concept is the same as covering a battered, stained table with a beautiful table cloth. Veneers are ultra-thin shells of ceramic material that are custom-made to fit over the outer surface of a tooth. The tooth surface is typically prepared by being slightly ground down or reduced, so that there is space to accommodate the thickness of the veneer. The veneer is then cemented in place, effectively covering up the appearance of surface and deep stains and any imperfections in the actual tooth structure, including chips, cracks, and erosion."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Veneers not only improve the appearance of a worn and/or stained tooth, making it look new, they also reinforce the strength of a tooth that has been damaged. By covering up cracks, chips and areas of erosion, the tooth structure is effectively protected against infiltration by oral bacteria, thereby rendering it stronger and more likely to withstand decay. For this reason, veneers aren't only cosmetic in benefit."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Completely Restore With Dental Crowns</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="New Teeth" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoH5B3ou8dYS1aDZNw7ysYLrwqGRtHtqzNgxZslQ0Lbr0kBGE-_TmDR8gWXLDNp0T6KvdzN_x2mebOyGz09qYUPum5RHo9PqgHHJsmVa9vABF9NZIW9X7JmX5EXxpD9TFJojeN3HATBOA/s1600/Restore+Smile+With+Dental+Crowns.jpg" height="170" hspace="10" title="Restore Smile With Dental Crowns" vspace="5" width="250" />"The last measure that can be taken to restore a damaged and/or decayed tooth is a dental crown, with or without root canal therapy depending upon the recommendations of your dentist," says the dental implants surgeon in New Jersey. "Dental crowns are used to replace the visible portion of teeth that have become so damaged or decayed that a significant portion of it needs to be removed. The crown is custom made to fit the remaining tooth and resume its appearance and function."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>A Final Note</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Many celebrities with gorgeous smiles have had many, most or even all of their teeth capped with crowns. Yet in spite of the benefits of these and all of the cosmetic treatments discussed really - aside from teeth whitening - the very best approach to maintaining a beautiful and healthy smile is a good standard of oral hygiene and frequent visits to the dentist and oral hygienist. Nothing can rival the strength, beauty, resilience and comfort of your own biological technology, so make sure you take all the necessary measures to keep it in fantastic lifelong condition. Do this and you won’t be likely to face the need for <a href="http://twitter.com/newteethoneday" target="_blank"><b>new teeth</b></a>!"</div>

Cosmetic Dentistry Could Save You The Trouble! PART 1<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b><i>This two-part article series takes a look at the various cosmetic procedures available for people who feel that their smiles could do with some improvement.</i></b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
How do you feel when you look in the mirror? Are your eyes automatically drawn to your teeth? Do you find yourself comparing their color to that of your yellow wood dressing table? More importantly, does your concern over the appearance of your teeth have you hiding your smile behind your lips and feeling terribly self-conscious in company?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Dental Problem" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZBPx4dSV79pb3Mlo4zEtEo8GvjsIaF_ZmruGWrCzSjM_UNTFhWK9e1vsL-ZcBEYBPQ3cL16rFNGApqJB7r3v_L0oVId_Xz-WEywBuB_KBTXiROQuug5u_T9M6w3mRym8EloGAC7rkhEI/s1600/Dental+Trouble.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Dental Problem" vspace="5" width="132" />Smiling is a fundamental tool for human communication, so if your teeth are preventing you from doing it with confidence, it’s time to learn about what can be done to improve your situation. You don’t necessarily need to get new teeth! Here’s what a Rutherford dental implants surgeon has to say about getting back a confident smile!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>When Last Did You Get Your Teeth Professionally Cleaned?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“The very best way to keep your teeth looking beautiful is to keep them healthy,” explains the surgeon. “Nothing can really rival the strength and appearance of healthy teeth, not even dental implants, which are often regarded as the best solution to missing teeth. So, if you are unhappy with the quality of your smile – if your teeth are looking a little yellow and unattractive, the best thing you can do is book an appointment with your dentist and oral hygienist.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“A thorough teeth cleaning can lift years off your smile by removing deposits of plaque and tartar (hardened plaque) that have accumulated on them. Since plaque - which is essentially legions of oral bacteria, dead cells and other debris - irritates the gums, the removal of it allows them to heal and become nice and pink again. Improving your own efforts at home prevents bacteria from destroying your teeth, thereby keeping them beautiful and pearly white. It’s the easiest way to avoid ever needing to get new teeth!”<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Teeth Whitening Treatments</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Cosmetic Dentistry" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL-rEU4JkSJkoFIWfIz_rSevWprd_ml2eeuI46mkYLu475Cqmbg5KInZXMbYXn6yPVAiTKjvZy-zB6XtuXc6ceT19hP12UV01l8RIQRjdsrx58SFhhFBSgTgJL50zI-qizlouuPzhFo6I/s1600/Teeth+Whitening.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Cosmetic Dentistry" vspace="5" width="133" />“If your teeth are essentially healthy, but still appear an unattractive yellow it’s most likely that they have become stained or discolored through repeated exposure to the tannins and dyes in the foods and beverages you consume. Coffee, tea, dark berries, sodas or anything with dark pigmentation can cause your teeth to become permanently stained,” explains the Rutherford dental implants surgeon.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“If this is the case, then a teeth whitening treatment is the quickest, simplest and cheapest way to get your teeth dazzlingly white again. Most dentists sell professional teeth whitening kits, which you can take home with you and do yourself. These kits typically require that you wear a mouth tray containing a special bleaching gel for an hour or two per day, every day for one or two weeks (or as prescribed by your dentist).”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>The Important Thing To Remember Is</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
An unattractive smile doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to get new teeth. Sometimes, a little cosmetic improvement can make the world of difference! Your first and most beneficial step is to <b><a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/cosmetic-dentist-clinic-location.html" target="_blank">book an appointment with your dentist</a></b> and find out what they recommend.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Stay Tuned for Part 2</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Dental veneers and crowns can also be used to drastically improve the appearance of one’s smile, so stay tuned for the next installment of this two-part article series to find out how!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
With our questionable diets, habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol, general wear-and-tear and less than perfect oral hygiene, it’s no surprise that most people lose at least one of their natural teeth before reaching late adulthood. Full-blown edentulism (not having any teeth at all) is a far more common state for those entering into their golden years. But there is another factor that can lead to the loss of more teeth than any other: accidental trauma received to the face and/or mouth.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Damaged Teeth" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQNoRMs-QhSloXL4eb1324ZEQ_8YUaulgQJ03WQdByzqFCsRISl3l_N5bB8BdNvEZXF2RtOcQJsL5rJyFLpBhcKv0n95aoy_eGzsmqFR4BPxkNytY-M66EmtMcKG2M_-g8vJN8UxeqYWM/s1600/Damaged+Teeth.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Damaged Teeth" vspace="5" width="200" />"Perhaps second only to gum disease, an oral surgeon’s most common patients are those who have sustained trauma to the face and mouth,” say dental implants surgeons in Rutherford. “Contact sports, extreme sports and recreational activities, such as bicycling and skateboarding, are frequently the cause of facial injuries that can lead to the irreparable damage of teeth.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Thankfully, there are protective measures you can take to prevent a fall or blow to the body from leaving anything more than a bruise. Elbow pads, shin guards, helmets... But <b><a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/" target="_blank">what about your teeth</a></b>? That’s where mouth guards come in!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><i>What Are Mouth Guards?</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“It’s all in the name really,” says a dentist in New Jersey. “A mouth guard is a covering that is worn over the teeth. Professional sportsmen and women wear them and so should you if you engage in any contact or extreme sports. Even if you play social football or hockey once a week, you should invest in a mouth guard. It only takes one unfortunate blow to the face or a stray hockey puck to the teeth to see you in a dental implant surgeon’s office. Rather spend a few dollars on a mouth guard than a few thousand on replacing shattered teeth!”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Different Kinds of Mouth Guards</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are three different kinds of mouth guards: </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. <b>Stock mouth protectors</b>, which are mass-produced, preformed guards that you can pick up at any sports or department store. They tend to be uncomfortable, bulky and make it difficult to talk or even breathe. “If you’re serious about keeping your teeth in good nick, we don’t really recommend stock mouth protectors because they don’t provide much protection at all,” say dentists in New Jersey. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. <b>“Boil and bite” mouth protectors</b> are far better because they can be softened in hot water and then shaped around the teeth using pressure from the tongue and fingers. This provides a far more comfortable custom fit and one that offers greater protection. Boil and bite mouth guards are available from most sports stores.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Use Mouth Guards While Skating " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_8bi6pw3b6HEZGqsYUx05tOvLqu39d2OWI9AXHAOk5rB9Jvulj1sweePvlZZa3BRbpZqS0DQi64_GdAL6qwJHdV7yUHR4beFywoq7-qgCrdg6dfDzK2cKU9EVCFZF7A0Kdi73dMidiLo/s1600/Use+Mouth+Gaurds+While+Skating.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Use Mouth Guards While Skating " vspace="5" width="133" />3. <b>Custom-fitted mouth guards</b> are the best yet. They are custom made in a dentist’s office from molds or impressions that have been taken of your teeth. “Custom mouth guards may be more costly than store-bought protectors, but they offer superior protection and are far more comfortable,” say dental implants surgeons in Rutherford. “Most professional sports players invest in these.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Whatever option you go for, you should be on the lookout for the following: An effective mouth protector should resist tears, be comfortable, durable, and easy to clean and it shouldn't make talking, breathing or swallowing difficult.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>A Final Note...</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, whether you’re a child, teenager or adult and whether your passion is football, hockey, cricket, gymnastics, mountain biking or skateboarding… if there is any risk that you might receive a blow to the mouth, getting a mouth guard fitted is a fantastic idea and one that might prevent you from being rushed to the New Jersey dentist’s office for a dental emergency!</div>

<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b><i>This three-part article series explains why tooth extractions are sometimes necessary and what patients can expect from this straightforward surgical procedure.</i></b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome the final installment of our three-part article series on tooth extractions, why they’re sometimes necessary and what New Jersey residents can expect from the experience. In our previous two article posts, we spoke to a panel of teeth implants surgeons in New Jersey about why teeth extractions are sometimes recommended and what the procedure entails. It was thankfully explained that this procedure, although typically very simple and straightforward, is usually performed under the effects of a local and/or general anesthetic, thus preventing patients from experiencing any pain.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We have just a couple of questions left for our dental implant experts before we allow them to return to their surgeries, so let’s get cracking…</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>What should and shouldn’t I do after I’ve had a tooth pulled?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Tooth Extraction Tools" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinzQT1cIomql__GcdN5ZyY0S3D3G5FNPJGI6bilMqpYUaURMHCBwh10xeLHjpVA70TbMdQ6_KDQmrLnCX5L874aEA85smDiSWkEC7cJlGr6s_ZhV5HcmkFz30EW_AeHjMoUsMJ8iLngsI/s1600/Tooth+Extractions+Tools.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Tooth Extraction Tools" vspace="5" width="132" />“The length of recovery and the degree to which it is recommended that you keep your feet up depends heavily upon the nature of the procedure you’ve just undergone,” explain the NJ dental implants surgeons. “For example, if your child has had a decayed primary or baby tooth removed, typically recovery is quick and with minimal discomfort, save perhaps for a little treat to reward them for their bravery. If you’ve had an adult decayed tooth extracted, you may want to avoid certain strenuous activities and tough foods for 24 to 48 hours to prevent bleeding.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Then, if you’ve had all of your teeth removed – because you’ve got gum disease and have been diagnosed with a ‘failing dentition’ – you should take a few days off from work and spend a week relaxing. Your recovery will be longer and slightly more complex than it is for those who have only had one or two teeth pulled.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Can you give us a list of things patients should avoid or shouldn’t do right after having a tooth extracted?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1) Avoid smoking,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2) Don’t eat any hard, crunchy foods,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3) Avoid strenuous activities or exercise,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4) Try not to poke, explore or rub the area with your tongue,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5) Don’t lie with your head flat against the mattress when sleeping… try to keep it elevated by propping it up with pillows. This will help stop the bleeding.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
6) Avoid alcohol. It thins the blood and may prolong bleeding.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
7) Avoid any strong sucking motions or vigorous gargling as this may rupture the surgical site, causing it to bleed again.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Sounds fairly straightforward, and what about things patients SHOULD do?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1) Take your painkillers as recommended by your teeth implants surgeon in New Jersey. Even if you don’t immediately experience any pain, you should stay one step ahead of it by following the dosage instructions.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2) “After the 24-hour mark, gently rinse with warm salty water every couple of hours. This will reduce the risk of infection, while also reducing infection and relieving pain,” advise NJ dental implants surgeons.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3) Stick to a diet of softer foods, such as soup, gelatin and pudding. As you heal, you can introduce more solid foods.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img align="right" alt="Teeth Implants Surgeons" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBn317ELHM5lsp__I9vhw9mI-IoBfTn9Q1YGrvhlcIYdtCTcCwkDHoiUSD00P7G7hCjoy4SrJmWt6c5DeHDQ2We7pQj7YEjCNGTWL9sOX60nyCoy-9VTf3MlNCXDFHGlZZoLtdPo-j0I8/s1600/Teeth+Implants+Surgeons.jpg" height="133" hspace="10" title="Teeth Implants Surgeons" vspace="5" width="240" /></div>
<br /></div>
4) Do continue to brush and floss your teeth. Just do so carefully and softly at first.
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5) If you’ve been prescribed anti-biotics to help prevent post-operative infection, make sure you finish the course.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>A Final Note on Tooth Extractions</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“It might sound scary, but having a tooth pulled is really nothing to be terrified about,” say teeth implants surgeons in New Jersey. “Your dentist will make sure that you don’t feel anything and, in any case, it’s typically over within a few minutes. Remember, having a decayed tooth removed can prevent more serious problems further down the line. There’s nothing like an excruciating oral abscess to make you regret a lack of earlier action!”</div>
</div>
newteethonedayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06964576266258303004noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3387313710175934100.post-68766182891798448182014-02-19T01:06:00.001-08:002014-03-01T01:45:03.171-08:00NJ Dental Implants Surgeons Reveal The Whole “Tooth” Behind Extractions, PART 2<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b><i>This three-part article series explains why tooth extractions are sometimes necessary and what patients can expect from this straightforward surgical procedure.</i></b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome to the second installment of our three-part article series on tooth extractions, why they’re sometimes necessary and what New Jersey residents can anticipate for the experience. In our previous article post, we spoke to a panel of dental implants surgeons in Rutherford about why teeth extractions are sometimes recommended. The reasons discussed ranged from tooth decay and gum disease to orthodontic problems and problematic wisdom teeth. What was consistent was the preventative nature of such a procedure.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Extracting teeth is done to prevent more complex oral and dental problems from developing; problems that are more painful and more expensive to fix further down the line,” explain the Rutherford dental implants surgeons. “Removing an impacted wisdom tooth prevents damage to the second molars and possible overcrowding of the dental arch if there isn’t enough space. Removing a decayed tooth can prevent painful abscesses from developing and it can prevent the spread of infection.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now, the question is... how are tooth extractions done?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Can you explain to us how you extract a problematic tooth? And what can you do to prevent a patient from feeling anything at all?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Suffering From Dental Problems" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhfs4X23mw6sMvTmjVGQ3sTKYZpDTbkSvMRq5DEwXWPnF9KlsnnRFw7XgnMYQyI82GW9_lrDk8qmgc4dM2becHgsA_l8dg14zrYriF9PLbr_tRqG771ESsef9kQ2gmSjEysfSqvxjcdxg/s1600/Suffering+From+Dental+Problems.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Suffering From Dental Problems" vspace="5" width="132" />“Before we even pick up a tool, we rub a topical anesthetic cream onto the gums where we intend to inject the numbing medication. The former prevents the latter from being painful and the latter prevents the procedure from being painful,” explains the dentist in New Jersey. “This way, patients typically have absolutely nothing to be afraid of… not even the needle used to administer anesthetic.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“If you’re only having one or two teeth removed then we will begin the procedure from this point. If, however, you are having several or even all of your teeth removed – as is frequently the case with patients who present with advanced gum disease, then we may administer I.V. anesthesia to sedate you,” explain the dental implants surgeons in Rutherford. “This will make the patient ‘sleep’ and wake up when everything is already over. A general anesthetic may also be necessary for patients who have impacted wisdom teeth that haven’t, or aren’t able to erupt from the gums.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Isn’t there a lot of blood? What do you do to calm the nerves of particularly anxious patients?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="left" alt="Dentist In New Jersey" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8YDLaybLDsOe3ZQdHN8Sw2osviFlSdjgOun1Yu9JHoDvrZK1aj6scFn-64IIwF8X5wpy9pIECIOxJSOELM7X81ALXzp-l1qq5MM_ije-XSjNy4pkrbChAuftOHozalQbemd04T399uzY/s1600/Dentist+In+New+Jersey.jpg" height="138" hspace="10" title="Dentist In New Jersey" vspace="5" width="200" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Pulling a problematic tooth often provides relief to patients who have been enduring the pain and sensitivity associated with a decayed tooth or impacted third (wisdom) molar for months. Oftentimes, all patients really need to know is that they’re doing the right thing by having a damaged/diseased tooth extracted and that they are going to feel a lot better once it’s done,” explains the <b><a href="http://www.superpages.com/bp/Rutherford-NJ/New-Teeth-One-Day-L2436356912.htm" target="_blank">dentist in New Jersey</a></b><span style="text-align: left;">.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
“As for bleeding, it may be moderate at first, but by applying pressure to the area via a moist gauze pad immediately after extraction, it can be slowed or even stopped within a few minutes to hours. In some cases, we may stitch up the tooth socket or, if the patient is having a tooth replaced, we may continue with the dental implant procedure. If patients continue to experience bleeding for more than 24 hours after surgery, we encourage them to contact us immediately.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b><i>This three-part article series explains why tooth extractions are sometimes necessary and what patients can expect from this straightforward surgical procedure.</i></b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“It’s like having a tooth pulled” is a common idiom that is used to illustrate how painful and uncomfortable certain situations or experiences have been. For example: “Having tea with my stepmother was like having a tooth pulled.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Dental Implants" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzIVhHnmChzHv1SOVHj_nRqK-Vwuyzro8y-ohpj4pLtBnE8SmO7Eliln3d4ey0IKghTk8RWWn-ng1KXOhrvhyphenhyphendUIvixHnq8Ol9DD4obnyZLx0-pNOjiIKwEia9X7L0EVaeUfHT0KGs7Y4/s1600/Dental+Implants.jpg" height="150" hspace="10" title="Dental Implants" vspace="5" width="200" />
What this idiom fails to elucidate is the fact that the modern procedures and techniques used to extract teeth nowadays are really no longer painful. In fact, dental extractions are in most cases one of the quickest, simplest and least painful of all the surgical procedures.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And so, we spoke to a panel of NJ dental implants surgeons about teeth extractions. We wanted to find out why it’s sometimes necessary, what the procedure entails and just how bad (or not) we can expect to feel afterwards. Here’s what they had to say!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>First of all, what would a bunch of dental implants surgeons know about teeth extraction?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“A whole lot! Many of the patients we treat come to us with teeth that are so deteriorated and decayed that it’s only a matter of time before they fall out on their own,” explains a New Jersey dental implant dentist. “We save patients a lot of time, pain and further exposure to infection by removing these teeth. Once we’ve done our best to eliminate any diseased tissue, we can then replace the extracted tooth or teeth with dental implants.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Oh, okay! Now tell us... under what circumstances would you recommend that a tooth be removed? How badly does it need to be damaged or decayed?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Tooth Extractions" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWSciy7xjjAO6yPR138Lj8KZf7SYc-lS62s7Qz5wmWLgwsj6Xfg16bR44TUfHRPtyFTvQ3yxVgIt5xK6Ymk6VPgPEQkIHULay5diIho-aVNAHaOElGqw4pm1lB_RxlU429Kxv6NQo20U4/s1600/Tooth+Extractions.jpg" height="133" hspace="10" title="Tooth Extractions" vspace="5" width="200" />“No quality dentist would remove a patient’s natural tooth without first being certain that there is nothing else that can be done to save it. You see, while dental implants (and the restorations they support) offer New Jersey residents a very sophisticated, functional and aesthetic solution to missing teeth, nothing on the market can rival your own biological technology. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Your natural teeth, if cared for properly, have the potential to last you a lifetime and nothing can really match their functionality, aesthetics and durability,” explain the NJ dental implants surgeons. This is why we do everything we can to rescue a damaged or decayed tooth before considering extraction and replacement with new implant-supported teeth. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Having said this, there are of course circumstances under which tooth extraction becomes unavoidable and this is typically when the insides of a tooth – the pulp chamber and root canals - become exposed via a crack, fissure, cavity or chip in the enamel… or as a result of decay and disease. Should endodontic therapy fail to restore and protect the tooth from further decay, we may recommend an extraction.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Other reasons to remove teeth may be for orthodontic concerns: perhaps a patient has an overcrowded dental arch, or their wisdom teeth are emerging and there’s no space for them. Teeth extractions are done for preventative reasons… your dentist is trying to avoid problems that will be far more painful, expensive and complicated to fix further down the line,” explain the dental implants surgeons. “It may even prevent New Jersey residents from needing <b><a href="http://www.pinterest.com/newteethoneday/new-teeth/" target="_blank">new teeth</a></b>.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Stay Tuned for Part 2</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b><i>This article explains how the more modern approaches to treating rampant tooth loss are able to undercut traditional dental implant techniques by tens of thousands of dollars.</i></b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Many New Jersey residents have avoided replacing missing teeth or have opted for more traditional technologies, such as partials or full removable dentures, because they are under the impression that dental implant treatment is simply prohibitively expensive. Well, with the innovation of newer, less expensive dental implant protocols, this simply isn’t the case any more! The cost of new teeth is not only inherently lower, but also with the help of the financing offered by most NJ dental implant practices, it’s affordable. Let’s take a look at how the “new kid on the block” – the “All-On-4®” dental implant technique – is changing smiles and bank balances.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>The All-On-4 Compared with Traditional Dental Implant Protocols</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You wouldn’t be incorrect in the assumption that having all of your teeth replaced with dental implants is incredibly expensive. It was. But in 1993, with the introduction of the more sophisticated All-On-4 technique for fixed oral rehabilitation, the cost of <b><a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/new-teeth-cost/new-teeth-cost.html" target="_blank">getting new teeth became substantially more affordable</a></b>. Here’s how!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>Fewer Implants Needed</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Dental Implants" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIw18Vx5Z6gXtzZv1HFHI4EYEaG0Q5C2MhO44XUsActQ2UPQPtL1shyCNp9u7vC-Bo3TOttvSoIyfe1GFGX5DbsIVzXCFf0c1DT4_Fy9KcqX0bHwDlviKN3_KopKx8V_PSEtFa96RYHrY/s1600/Dental+Implant.jpg" height="115" hspace="10" title="Dental Implants" vspace="5" width="200" />Traditional dental implant procedures could require as many as 10 implants per jaw in order to give patients a full set of new teeth again. The All-On-4®, as the name suggests, only requires four (see image below).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Each implant represents an investment in the region of $2,000 to $3,000, so by cutting down on the number of implants required, the All-On-4® already affords patients massive savings on the cost of new teeth. But we’re only getting started...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>Only One Surgery in Most Cases</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In order to place as many as 10 implants per jaw (20 in total if you’re undergoing full mouth reconstruction), the dental implant surgeons who treat NJ patients would frequently recommend that they come in for a series of surgeries, rather than one very long and complex procedure. Primarily because most patients who need their teeth replaced no longer have enough bone to place 10, 8, or many times even 6 dental implants. So many patients are told they need bone grafting before they can have their implants. This not only adds additional expense, discomfort and recovery periods, it also significantly delays the time until you can have new implanted supported teeth!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The All-On-4, however, only requires that four implants be placed, which can quite easily be done in a single surgical session, strategically utilizing the bone that is maintained. This saves patients a decent chunk of change on all the repeat bills that would be associated with multiple surgeries, including anesthesia, the surgeon’s time, hospital stay, surgical equipment and resources, etc. And the results are amazing!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>Typically, No Bone Grafting</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Cost of Oral Rehabilitation" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqC_g9fpZfKAaWoTtIJDm-EdUFiz3bvHZhgIzrku3o7IP6G4pVSfD2pTYUhx1WYd1Uy56oy6iVh_c3dRSW2kemiLxU2hWbOb1jZlm00UXF0_WVKvXR7pgtYRfJa1SzaeSeQV7M41QV9Gs/s1600/Cost+of+Oral+Rehabilitation.jpg" height="131" hspace="10" title="Cost of Oral Rehabilitation" vspace="5" width="200" />Where many thousands of dollars are saved, however, is by the All-On-4’s ability to avoid the need for bone grafting surgery, which is highly invasive, painful and expensive. As stated, older dental implant protocols would frequently require more implants (so they thought) and hence bone grafting was often performed before a dental implant professional could even begin oral rehabilitation for a NJ patient.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is because tooth loss and the diseases that cause it, i.e. gum disease, leads to the atrophy and destruction of the bone tissue necessary to support dental implants. But through the strategic placement and precise angulation of implants, the All-On-4 is almost always able to bypass bone grafting, saving patients a lengthy recovery period and the bill for a most unpleasant surgery.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>A Final Note</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For all these reasons, the All-On-4 technique comes with a much lesser price tag than traditional dental implant procedures and, better still, can give patients new teeth in as little as a single day! The direct and indirect savings are incredible and the outcomes: priceless.</div>

New Jersey Specialists Explain the Perils of Periodontal Disease, PART 3<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b><i>This three-part article series explains what gum disease is and the various signs and symptoms it comes hand-in-hand with. We also explore patients’ various treatment options.</i></b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome to the final installment of this three-part article series on periodontal (gum) disease, its signs and symptoms and recommended treatments. So far, the <b><a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/about-new-teeth-one-day.html" target="_blank">specialists who place new teeth</a></b> for New Jersey residents have explained that:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Gum disease is an advanced bacteria infection of the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. It’s typically caused by a lack of preventative healthcare, poor oral hygiene and habits, such as tobacco-use.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. As much as 80% of the American population suffers with some form or stage of gum disease.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. There are many signs and symptoms, including swollen, inflamed gums, gums that bleed easily, oral sores or lesions, discolored teeth, teeth that feel loose and uncomfortable, persistent bad breath and eventually, tooth loss.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now let’s take a look at the various treatment options available...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b>Gum Disease Treatment</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Gum Disease Treatment" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVD_zbvECu8mlHZ7YFb9Y3tPK6sCiRzmU_KamBHFjBpCScxdBYEXYLPffZFJZwEQxGIBcDgWEDHJbZ-eKletn9y6at2nIc8-AKCLn8lY_zBSM641Pduy1TLxZoPawLnzLgSK82-GSd34E/s1600/Gum+Disease+Treatment.jpg" height="138" hspace="10" title="Gum Disease Treatment" vspace="" width="200" />There are many approaches dentists can take to treating gum disease before they will consider giving New Jersey residents new teeth. Often a combination is used depending upon the extent of the disease and the damage it has already done. The first phase of treatment would be a thorough oral health assessment, followed by the recommendation of one or more of the following:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>1. Root scaling and planing:</b> Deep cleaning.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>2. Pocket reduction therapy:</b> Eliminating the deep pockets that have formed around the tooth roots, effectively preventing bacteria from reinfecting the gums.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>3. Anti-biotic medication:</b> Applied topically during surgery and taken as a course of oral tablets.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>4. Laser therapy:</b> For the highly accurate elimination of diseased tissue.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>5</b>. A continued schedule of professional teeth cleanings, a much-improved home oral hygiene routine and possibly anti-bacterial mouthwash rinses.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The treatment schedule provided depends upon your specific case and may or may not involve surgery. To find out, it is imperative that you <b><a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/cosmetic-dentist-clinic-location.html" target="_blank">schedule an appointment</a></b> with your dentist or a dental specialist, such as a periodontist.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“For those who are particularly nervous of treatment, don’t be,” urge All on 4® dental implant surgeons. “We go to every measure necessary to ensure that patients are kept comfortable and use a combination of local anesthetic and Intravenous (I.V.) sedation if recommended or desired. What’s important is that you are having your problem addressed and that you will be in much better oral and general health for having done it.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b>Mitigation for Existing Damage: Tooth Loss</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="left" alt="Tooth Loss" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXckuUYXU5qyd_xxGOPHfcUobFvY3H-TWQMqz5DZNHWBCD_za6GgdW8SUqHt03i5eV26CHxL1udJnV7ifkswGfRJxBRuLGY-s_thdKUja94TL799uVtXodokNs4VBRanDh84ojlTz8s0I/s1600/Tooth+Loss.jpg" height="132" hspace="10" title="Tooth Loss" vspace="5" width="200" />Thankfully, if you have lost one or more of your teeth to gum disease, there is a suite of teeth replacement techniques available to help give you your smile back. Dental implants are typically the most highly recommended of these options because of their durability and better function and aesthetics.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Having said this, while you can get new teeth implants or even All on 4 dental implants – if you are losing or have already lost all of your teeth, Rutherford residents should know that prevention is always better than cure. No matter how advanced the field of dental implantology has become, nothing can really beat your own biological technology: natural healthy teeth. This is why patients are urged to come for treatment before gum disease has had the opportunity to completely wreck their natural dentition.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome to Part 2 of this three-part article series on periodontal (gum) disease, it’s signs and symptoms and recommended treatments. In <b><a href="http://newteethoneday.blogspot.com/2014/01/want-to-avoid-need-for-dental-implants.html" target="_blank">Part 1</a></b>, we spoke to a dentist in New Jersey who explained that gum disease is an advanced bacteria infection of the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. It’s typically caused by poor oral hygiene, a lack of preventative healthcare and certain habits, such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption. In this article, we shall now examine the signs and symptoms Rutherford residents should be on the lookout for before discussing the various treatment options available.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>Signs and Symptoms of Periodontal Disease</b></h3>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Symptoms of Periodontal Disease" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvhLcAUSSgNkRvdjZOfTon0JKsfnwOLzPkwWzZCHhHFdCdZ_tzg8MUvT0rsIqHPoZfiWhQhPVSkva6MOPboQd6T36qO3S-9NEA_WvIByh3betXyqjbOc-eFYBXn4DoL1VKzA_5cBx2ur4/s1600/Signs+and+Symptoms+of+Periodontal+Disease.jpg" height="160" hspace="10" title="Symptoms of Periodontal Disease" vspace="5" width="260" />In the beginning stages, gum disease is known as gingivitis and can present with one or more of the following symptoms:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Red and inflamed gums,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Swollen, sensitive gums,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Gums that bleed easily when brushing and flossing,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. Bad breath (halitosis): This can be difficult to diagnose, so it’s recommended that you ask a close friend or relative to tell you whether they’ve noticed your breath being persistently bad.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. Discoloration of the teeth caused by the accumulation of plaque and tartar. The margins between the teeth can appear blurred.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In its advanced stages, gum disease is known as periodontitis and can present with one or more of the following symptoms:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Those listed above,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. A persistent bad taste in the mouth that doesn't go away or comes back soon after brushing,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Brown mottling of the teeth and at the gum margins,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. Recurring oral lesions or sores,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. Loose teeth that are uncomfortable to eat with,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
6. An exposure of the tooth roots as the gums recede from the crowns of the teeth,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
7. Suppurating (pussy) gums and extremely painful oral abscesses,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
8. Eventual tooth loss.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Doesn't sound very pleasant, does it? And yet, millions of Americans live with this condition every day and haven’t sought treatment. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as much as 80% of Americans are currently living with some stage of gum disease; be it gingivitis or periodontitis. So...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>Why Do People Allow Gum Disease to Progress?</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="left" alt="Gum Disease" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGmQxwKn1xE8P98qU0j0cB-DBzBBlRmbMJb8xHRmnRoMw-veuPwlRZw22ZCQjUTYtX7em4mZskI5ux0NT1oKXhHETzb6n1eNVGbHoN6wgC57iaTXAVvtcBM58RjYnK39DvAfBhs8KSKpM/s1600/Gum+Disease.jpg" height="240" hspace="10" title="Gum Disease" vspace="5" width="158" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“One of the biggest problems with gum disease is that it doesn’t typically cause much pain,” explain the dentists who place new teeth implants in Rutherford patients. “And since pain is what most frequently compels people to seek treatment, in its absence we find patients living with this condition for years without coming in for the necessary dental care. There is also a fear of what treatment might entail, but in all honesty living with gum disease and losing teeth is far more painful – to one’s self esteem and quality of life – than any treatment could ever be.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Gum disease is also linked with a host of other terrible and very dangerous health conditions, such as heart, respiratory, liver and kidney disease, as well as osteoporosis, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The risks of living with gum disease are simply not worth it. You cannot justify avoiding treatment with “saving money” because the real cost could be your life.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

New Jersey Specialists Explain the Perils of Periodontal Disease, PART 1<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b><i>This three-part article series explains what gum disease is and the various signs and symptoms it comes hand-in-hand with. We also explore patients’ various treatment options.</i></b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Periodontal disease – peri meaning “around” and dontal “the tooth” – is a pervasive oral disease that affects a staggering percentage of the American population. As much as 80% of New Jersey residents have some form or stage of this disease and it explains, in the majority of cases, just why the rate of tooth loss is so high in this country. Avoiding tooth loss and the need for dental implants, therefore, comes down to three important things:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Good oral hygiene and preventative care,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Recognizing the signs and symptoms of gum disease,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Seeking prompt treatment.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In this three-part article series, the New Jersey dental implants professionals will be helping us with point # 2 by explaining how periodontal disease frequently presents and what can be done to halt the progression of this very destructive condition.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
What is Periodontal Disease?</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Periodontal Disease" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjgo2L9GuzcGSX6IjjDVQOuNRTjJMiz8b8IysL21QDQiD8j20gnrGpEU6c7M1C3Q3HoApar8G2AkZ-1MyxIZK80JG6pdy_1WFtsNQiwCr95I9bpdmLSctZYHa3Sh1cUijlJepP0bGmK5I/s1600/Periodontal+Disease.jpg" height="130" hspace="10" title="Periodontal Disease" vspace="5" width="200" />Periodontal or gum disease is an advanced bacterial infection of the gums and the supporting structures of the teeth. It is caused by a lack of proper at-home and professional oral hygiene and comes hand-in-hand with risk factors such as: </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Tobacco-use</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Certain diseases (diabetes), </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Periods of hormonal fluctuations (menopause and pregnancy),</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. Excessive alcohol intake,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. A diet high in sugar,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
6. Certain chronic medications.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Even your genetic heritage and gender can leave you at a greater risk of developing <b><a href="http://newteethoneday.blogspot.com/2013/03/periodontal-disease-top-oral-offender.html" target="_blank">periodontal disease</a></b>, especially without adequate preventative dental healthcare. While there are dental implant procedures designed to give patients who have lost most or all of their teeth (or who have been diagnosed with a “terminal” or “failing dentition”) new teeth in one day, prevention is always better and cheaper than cure. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
How Does Periodontal Disease Progress?</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Gum disease begins as a well-known condition called “gingivitis,” which is characterized by an inflammation of the gums. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img align="right" alt="Periodontal Disease Treatment" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisYfGG-mlosUeSnsEGvr3VITsV8Sjykpuecbv0qD3ml6oTwFgNGRRSiCMUiN9X1eDseltWv1Y8bodAAKcJsI2S0DSZ_IpsRQOfxfwnBjHoWwCZpqnGcjWdP7UeGyd_k0vPeVzTpSSwW4k/s1600/How+Does+Periodontal+Disease+Progress.jpg" height="132" hspace="10" title="Periodontal Disease Treatment" vspace="5" width="200" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Plaque, a sticky white substance consisting of bacteria, forms in the oral cavity throughout the day and this is essentially unavoidable,” say dental implant surgeons in New Jersey. “Without frequent and thorough brushing and flossing and without regular visits to the oral hygienist for a professional clean, plaque hardens to form tartar. Your gums don’t like this and they respond by becoming inflamed and swollen. At this stage, the disease is typically diagnosed as gingivitis.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Over time, without professional intervention and good home oral hygiene efforts, gingivitis is allowed to progress. Oral bacteria produce acidic by-products that erode away at the dental enamel forming cavities, which allow for further decay. This acid also destroys the ligaments attaching the gums to the teeth, which enables bacteria to migrate into the natural pockets surrounding the teeth, essentially deepening them. Eventually, deep pockets of bacteria collect around the tooth roots and it is at this stage that a person will likely be diagnosed with gum disease. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“It is also at this stage that the disease is unlikely to be halted without professional help. Tooth loss is a typical consequence of untreated gum disease and while we can give those who have been determined candidates new teeth in one day, we won’t proceed with dental implant treatment until health has been restored to the oral cavity,” explain dental implant professionals in New Jersey.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b><i>This two-part article series provides important advice on preventing the oral diseases that lead to tooth loss and the need for new teeth.</i></b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome to the second installment of this two-part article series on the top tips for preventing tooth loss. In <a href="http://newteethoneday.blogspot.com/2013/12/new-teeth-implants-professionals-in.html" target="_blank"><b>Part 1</b></a>, we spoke to a new teeth professional in New Jersey who provided the first two important recommendations:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Brush your teeth and tongue for two minutes at a time, twice (or even three times) a day, everyday.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Floss every day before you go to bed at night.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“A thorough home oral hygiene routine is fundamental in the battle against the oral diseases that ultimately lead to tooth loss,” says a dental implants professional in New York.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But, there is more to keeping all of your natural pearly whites beautiful and healthy for life and in this article, we shall be addressing the habits to break in order to achieve this.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3>
<b>Bad, Bad Habits to Break</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Smoking and Tobacco Use" border="0" height="132" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieZrYOUhZz8eQMQNd0ATHbMeGTSfzg7w9OMBUODZ6HeHiDNLR7bdLvRPT8pyI8uNjQ0qq93mv5onI2VyyggHE9G4k0j2UBM13AJBAq03-Zs2m1sUcrMJlPvNsPmeMXsHFAd64dTGCN6GU/s200/Smoking+and+Tobacco+Use.jpg" title="Smoking and Tobacco Use" vspace="5" width="200" />Tobacco use is one of the leading causes of gum disease and gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss. Smoking also compromises the ability of patients to fight off infection and heal after dental work is done, so your best chance of keeping all of your natural teeth is to kick the habit!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b>Unhealthy Eating</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Unhealthy eating is also a habit that many people need to kick, according to a new teeth professional in New Jersey. A diet high in sugar, carbohydrates and acidic beverages, such as soda, fruit juice and energy drinks, can leave you at a much higher risk of tooth decay and gum disease. Bacteria thrive on sugar, so the more you expose your mouth to, the more conducive an environment it becomes for bacterial growth. People who eat badly usually don’t look after their teeth as well as they should either and the combination of the two is a sure-fire way to lose teeth!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b>Alcohol and Drug Abuse</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Dental Abuse" border="0" height="200" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM0c2eEaPyfOsoV1tZqGr929cuGkLGviGFCBGkE9sxUbgiciswqGt-HcJp-d-yCh16NvM1wVALNMsVdUuIY3v6h0Ia09iXJcNPrguIk9gKNz5yrRA39avQtslIvXC-er8EmNJBGX77mgY/s200/Dental+Abuse.jpg" title="Dental Abuse" vspace="5" width="200" />“Heavy drinking and drug abuse take as heavy a toll on the health of your teeth and gums as they do on your body,” explains a dental implants professional in New York. “Alcoholic beverages are almost always full of sugar and/or acid, which wears away at the dental enamel protecting your teeth. Alcohol also causes a condition known as ‘dry mouth’, which impedes the natural production of saliva. Saliva is a natural anti-bacterial, so people with frequent dry mouth tend to be more susceptible to tooth decay and gum disease. There are even some prescription medications that cause this condition so be sure to speak to your doctor about dosage or even a substitute if you experience this side effect.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
Teeth grinding and jaw clenching are common physical manifestations of stress. While they can be difficult to control, especially because people tend to do them at night when they are asleep, you can mitigate the damage done by having a protective mouth guard fitted.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“You’d be surprised at how many people do irreparable damage to their teeth by using them for tasks for which they were not intended,” says the new teeth professional in New Jersey. “Tearing open packaging, forcing open containers, chewing on popcorn and ice… these are all habits that can crack, chip and wear away your teeth at a rate that is not natural. Only use your teeth for eating regular foods. If you can’t open something, get up and go grab the scissors or bottle opener. I’ve seen too many patients who were trying to impress their friends with a party trick, only to end up in my office with a badly cracked tooth.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>A Final Note</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
By maintaining a good standard of home oral hygiene, coming for regularly <b><a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/cosmetic-dentist-clinic-location.html" target="_blank">scheduled dental appointments</a></b> and cleanings and avoiding the damaging habits discussed in this article, there’s no reason you can’t keep your teeth in excellent condition for life!</div>

Dental implants may offer NJ residents a sophisticated and comprehensive <a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/" target="_blank"><b>solution to missing teeth</b></a>, but according to new teeth implants professionals in Rutherford, nothing beats the benefits of your own biological technology. “Healthy natural teeth are typically quite durable, and along with healthy gums, usually have very aesthetic look, so we always encourage patients to do their very best to keep them. Yes, we can provide great solutions should you ever lose one or more of your natural teeth, but with the right preventative care and daily maintenance, you should hopefully never need those solutions.”</div>

Keeping your mouth as free of oral bacteria as possible is a daily endeavor you will engage in your entire life. And it’s an important battle because oral bacteria are the reason teeth become decayed and gums become diseased. “We all know we are meant to brush our teeth twice a day, but this advice alone is not enough to keep the diseases that cause tooth loss at bay,” explains a dental implants professional in NJ.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Most Americans only brush their teeth for 38 seconds a day in total. You should be dedicating two whole minutes to scrubbing your teeth and tongue, making sure to spend 30 seconds per quadrant of the mouth. “We also encourage patients, especially those who have already lost teeth to gum disease, to brush three times a day, about 30 minutes after breakfast, lunch and supper.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“The reason you should wait 30 minutes is because your mouth becomes quite acidic after eating. The low PH softens the dental enamel protecting your teeth, rendering it more vulnerable to erosion by the abrasive action of brushing. If you can’t wait and, for example, need to rush off to the office after breakfast, then rinse your mouth thoroughly with water before brushing.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>Floss, Floss, Floss</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="left" alt="Flossing" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG8UzTlcFKWBAgh4mo2fUuflhaslFTOP7s-B0p3KHkGL6MkU2g8KVFFEigRAqB_m5Dn5xTpVH8IcCLHcZp5b-Hrf_KDUyjvPCMGmYXubKJbaalq4yCh_peJu5LONE6d9qNGyPDcLjyiuI/s200/Flossing.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Flossing" vpsce="5" width="133" />Flossing is one of the most neglected, yet important oral hygiene habits. Most Americans do not floss daily as they should and a significant percentage never, ever does it. “Your teeth are three-dimensional and while the right brushing technique effectively cleans the front, back and top surfaces of the teeth, the contact points between them are being completely neglected,” explains a new teeth implants professional in Rutherford. “One of the most common sites for decay is in fact between the teeth and at the gum line. Flossing at nighttime before you go to bed at night is an essential step towards preventing the diseases that claim healthy teeth. It also an essential step in one’s recovery from gum disease.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“A common excuse given by NJ patients is that their gums hurt and bleed when they brush them. This is because the soft tissue has become weakened and compromised by infection. The best way to address infection is to eliminate the bacteria causing it,” says the new teeth implants professional in Rutherford. “It may feel uncomfortable at first and yes, your gums may bleed, but they will toughen up and heal very quickly. Without flossing, you are leaving all that food debris and bacteria trapped between your teeth. This causes cavities, decay and unattractive problems like bad breath.”</div>

<i><b>This two-part article series provides an in-depth look at the relationship between diabetes and oral health and how Rutherford residents living with this condition can better protect their teeth and gums.</b></i></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome to Part 2 of our article series on the link between diabetes and oral health. In the first installment, we spoke to a new teeth specialist in New York about the impacts this disease has upon the health of patients’ teeth and gums. Now, we shall take a brief look at how gum disease is treated and what New York residents living with diabetes can do to mitigate the damage done to their oral health.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>Gum Disease Treatment</b></h3>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img align="right" alt="Dental Implants Dentist in Stamford CT" border="0" height="131" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0eIBrIy0Wq9vJHgKVKj-DHTPl1Gwpowgnc1uHvKAIECX-ZBB2Jm_VqVTx8dS7dJW7jOedRUJK5Wa41LQjOv9vNCgG34vUHYt3I2vJQiJeL7G-aXHNWFtCc-y2X-Vt9Op45wUWhZkaEIo/s200/Dental+Implants+Dentist+in+Stamford+CT.jpg" title="Dental Implants Dentist in Stamford CT" vspace="5" width="200" /></div>
The course of treatment prescribed by your dental healthcare practitioner will really depend on the severity of your condition. “In its beginning stages, gum disease can usually be successfully treated with a course of anti-biotic medication and rinses, a thorough professional cleaning and/or an improved home oral hygiene routine,” says a dental implants dentist in Stamford CT. “If, however, your condition has advanced and there are deep pockets of infection surrounding your teeth, you will likely need to undergo one or more dental procedures to eliminate the diseased tissue and infection and reduce the depth of these pockets.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Having diabetes can render these procedures somewhat tricky, because this disease slows the rate at which its sufferers heal. Post-operative healing will have to be closely monitored to ensure that infection doesn’t set in again. Your dentist may prescribe a course of anti-biotic medication as a precaution. Additionally, diabetics will need to have their blood sugar levels carefully controlled before and after their procedures.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>Minimizing the Oral Health Risks of Diabetes</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="left" alt="New Teeth" border="0" height="200" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPqHYJ_PtVy6wA8r-0pGVFts8l_beHmO5RZFzoKrfzEjhMzlKiBWq8M2oWp4TftTRvcTH0smb8ESSM6dJzaCBCZFEZIV5ihpFNyJLOZSrnMdwQ7DqeeehCBrlNwi1x21xIDgRH7IndjW0/s200/New+Teeth.jpg" title="New Teeth" vspace="5" width="131" />All of this can sound somewhat frightening. No one enjoys the prospect of oral surgery, so the very best philosophy New York residents living with diabetes can adopt is to prevent rather than cure! “If you have been diagnosed with diabetes you must first accept that you will need to spend a little more time and spend a little more effort on looking after your teeth and gums,” explains a new teeth specialist in New York. “You should tell your dentist about your condition and ask him or her for advice on home oral hygiene care. You will also need to go for more frequent check-ups and professional cleanings as a part of the preventative healthcare regime that will keep your oral health in check.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here’s some general advice for New York residents living with diabetes:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Brush your teeth for two minutes at a time and brush three times a day.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Floss your teeth every day, preferably before you go to bed at night.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Make use of an anti-bacterial mouthwash to really keep your mouth clean of the oral bacteria that cause gum disease.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. “Keep a close eye on the health of your gums,” advises a dental implants dentist in Stamford CT. “If you ever notice any bleeding when you brush or floss, or swelling and inflammation, be sure to notify your dentist as soon as possible.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. As a diabetic, you should have your teeth professionally cleaned at least twice a year. Remember, you are more prone to infection than people without this condition, so you will need to be extra thorough in your approach to keeping your mouth clean.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
6.“You must absolutely tell your dentist and oral hygienist that you have diabetes,” urges a new teeth expert in New York. “This will help them devise a preventative treatment schedule that will protect your teeth and gums. You should also let them know of any over-the-counter and prescription medications you might be on.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>A Final Note</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
By taking extra special care of your oral health, you can offset the damage done by diabetes and keep your smile beautiful and healthy for far longer. Work closely with your dentist to achieve your goals and keep smiling!</div>

<b><i>This two-part article series provides an in-depth look at the relationship between diabetes and oral health and how Rutherford residents living with this condition can better protect their teeth and gums.</i></b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There is a clear link between diabetes and the health of your teeth and gums. More specifically, people living with diabetes are at a higher risk of developing gum disease and vice versa. Fortunately, there are things Rutherford residents living with this condition can do to protect their smiles against the ravages of this disease and we shall be speaking to a dental implants professional in New Jersey about these measures in this two-part article series. First, however, let’s take a look at the oral health risks that come hand-in-hand with being a diabetic...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
Diabetes and Oral Health Risks</h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Rutherford Dental Professional" border="0" height="210" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH18DrTrYj2RdfDBhIHzhbfsyZJi19wBMvzaKxmcQeifEebUja-tY2jtaEIroOZM8g3Ikzvf4ixnX4dY2UaL3aRZkPL7W1FSZNWVwfOj2pB1g-SbeJU_ZKxRZT0NjS5gT3lCZphm_m894/s320/Rutherford+Dental+Professional.jpg" title="Rutherford Dental Professional" vspace="5" width="310" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you are currently living with diabetes, you may find yourself at a greater risk of the following oral health issues:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Dry mouth:</b> A condition characterized by the slowed production of saliva. This is problematic because your saliva plays an integral role in protecting your teeth and gums from bacteria.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Fungal infections:</b> For example, thrush, which is terribly uncomfortable, both physically and in social situations.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Cavities:</b> Soft holes in the dental enamel of your teeth caused by the acidic wastes produced oral bacteria. If left unfilled, these holes can become enlarged by further erosion, eventually forming a pathway into the “nerve” of the tooth at which stage infection can set in. “Untreated cavities can necessitate new teeth,” says a Rutherford dental professional.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Slowed healing:</b> “People with diabetes sometimes tend to take a longer time to heal, which can lead to a problem after dental surgery,” explains a dental implants professional in New Jersey. “This can cause complications and a greater risk of post-operative infection. Dental implant patients with diabetes need to be watched a little more closely in the months following the placement of their new teeth.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In spite of these oral health problems, there are steps that Rutherford residents living with diabetes can take to minimize the risk of permanent damage to their smiles.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>The Link Between Diabetes and Gum Disease</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="left" alt="Dental Implants" border="0" height="210" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6KSOy_aN6bKOymgo9BWpMmjVLVCP-8YqhhRJYWT-CzZsT6B6x29633CorzKXSTP2zfkXv7xSY4N1vtvQgbRZkalCLQfv63mBA2Lnd3Yb64Di8DVvT7DPeXnikHexcBeFh4AWwO81diCM/s320/Dental+Implants.jpg" title="Dental Implants" vspace="5" width="310" />“One of the greatest problems with diabetes is that it renders patients more vulnerable to gum disease and less able to fight off the kind of bacterial infections that lead to it,” explains a new teeth Professionals in Rutherford NJ. “These patients might initially experience gingivitis, which is the beginning stage of gum disease with symptoms that might include swollen, inflamed and spongy gums that easily tear and bleed when brushed or flossed. If allowed to progress, however, the infection can migrate deep down into the soft tissue surrounding the tooth roots, allowing deep pockets of bacteria and bacterial wastes to accumulate.” </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“This infection doesn’t only cause tooth decay, it also destroys the ligaments and bone tissue that support the teeth, eventually leading to tooth loss. Many of the patients we treat suffer from gum disease and a significant number of these patients are also diabetic,” says the <b>dental implants</b> professional in New Jersey.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, how can gum disease be treated and what can Rutherford residents living with diabetes do to mitigate the impact of this terrible disease on the health of their teeth and gums?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b><i>This article provides an overview of the procedure behind the All-On-4 dental implant technique.</i></b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, you’ve gone to your dental implants expert in Rutherford, signed up for the “All-On-4” protocol and now you want to know what to expect on the day you’re scheduled to get new teeth. First and foremost, you should know that what you’ve done is likely made the smartest possible investment in the future of your oral health, smile confidence and quality of life. Well done. Here’s what your day should look like...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Wakey Wakey! Time to Get New Teeth!</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Your day begins bright and early with a morning appointment at our world class facility. You will be greeted by friendly staff and escorted through to a private room where you can relax with you family/ friends that are with you, and receive any pre-operative instructions or medications. From there, you’ll go to the surgical suite, and likely have a sedative administered to make you feel totally relaxed and detached from any fear you may have been experiencing up until that point. Your mouth will be numbed and once you are ready, the journey to getting new teeth in NJ begins!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The dental implant expert will begin by extracting any remaining, failing teeth and cleaning your mouth, making sure to eliminate any grossly diseased or infected tissue. In order to give your new implants an optimal environment in which to heal. Once your jaw has been thoroughly “cleaned”, the surgeon will place two implants in the front portion of your jaw and another two further in the back. The exact positioning of these implants will have been determined in the treatment planning phase of the “All-On-4".</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The procedure is drawn to a close by suturing up any incisions and allowing you to rest. After a short time recovering and relaxing, your Rutherford dental implants expert will begin placing your new set of teeth, which comes in the form of a prosthetic dental bridge. This is fabricated from molds (impressions) that were taken of your mouth during your initial visits. The bridge will be attached to the implants and adjusted so that your bite feels comfortable and natural.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You will then be allowed to return home with your brand new smile! For patients receiving sedation and getting new teeth in NJ, it is mandatory that you arrange for someone to give you a lift home, as you may still feel a little groggy from sedation.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
What Now?</h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="New Teeth One Day" border="0" height="216" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRFTYElc-iSHq-2iXj-9kcQMYsJ3-77j7MMgeZpujSd1t30ts8F8g2IZ1HsV6u94urr3Ug-5ZsuXPyF2Qq2t9QPZilBKpwBO-pxyUe7g1XeCqQ8auM7X4UZK-N2xfo67KspxXorncRCWg/s400/new+teeth+in+NJ.jpg" title="New Teeth One Day" vspace="5" width="300" />In the first few days following your procedure, it is recommended that you remain at home and relax while your mouth begins the healing process. Read a book, watch some TV, send out some emails… do all the things you never get around to doing when it’s all work, work, work. You should stick to a diet of soft foods for a few months and avoid any strenuous activities or exercise. You will be required to return to the dental implant center in Rutherford for a post-operative check-up around the 10 day to two-week mark to make sure your recovery is going well. Your new teeth will also be removed, cleaned and adjusted and your surgeon will advise you on your diet and hygiene instructions moving forward. By this stage you should be already well adjusted to your new teeth and smile.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Then it’s all about looking after your new teeth, making sure to brush and water-pik them regularly and go for your scheduled check-ups and professional cleanings, just as if you had a complete set of natural teeth again!</div>
</div>

Here’s What You Might Like to Know<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>This article discusses the procedure and costs involved in getting one or more teeth replaced with dental implants.</b></i></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Your teeth are composed of the hardest substance in your body, but that doesn’t mean they are invincible. On the contrary, tooth loss as a result of gum disease is one of the biggest health problems in the United States. The good news is that there is a technology on the market that mimics the function, appearance and feel of teeth that have gone missing and it’s regarded by dental implants professionals in New York as the best possible treatment option: tooth implants. So, if you’ve lost one or more of your natural pearly whites, here’s what you need to know about having this treatment done.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>What are Dental/Tooth Implants?</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="left" alt="Dental Implants in New York" border="0" height="176" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ8DNc4efVn50GmviEPLOCqQ_uxhrO56H4NEMkwDZuO4P1KE1Lp6ylbZlWmVceYjmiu3k39nS0psiC_c9EA5BlqBRLUZEqr5PxH_KPlBAJN3zqkL7_j_P6QwFxmgqaPSsg2LCngoN3yIE/s320/Dental+Implants+in+New+York.png" title="Dental Implants in New York" vspace="" width="320" />A dental implant is a small, slim titanium screw that is used to replace the roots of missing teeth. If you have lost one tooth, it is used to provide a stable foundation for a fixed, non-removable ceramic crown. If you need an entire arch of teeth replaced, as is frequently the case with New York residents who have lost most or all of their teeth to periodontal (gum) disease, then an array of implants can be used to support a customized prosthetic dental bridge.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Can I Get Teeth Replaced at my Local Dentist?</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Not all dentists are qualified to place dental implants and even if yours is, you may want to investigate just how long they have been doing so for. When it comes to getting dental implants in New York, the experience of your surgeon is incredibly important because you want the best possible outcomes and you want your new teeth to last you the longest possible time. For this reason, it is always worth finding a qualified and experienced dental implants professional in New York.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>What is the New Teeth Implant Cost in NJ?</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The price you pay for new teeth in NJ depends very much on where you go and what procedure you have done. The good news is that the cost you pay should be inclusive of everything you need, from treatment planning and X-rays to surgery, implant hardware and post-operative check-ups. An approximate price schedule looks as follows:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<ol style="text-align: left;">
<li>A single dental implant and crown: $3,000 to $4,000</li>
<li>Three dental implants and crowns: $9,000 to $12,000</li>
<li>Single full arch replacement with implants: $23,500 to $30,000</li>
<li>Complete oral rehabilitation (both arches with the “All-On-4™”): $50,000</li>
<li>A set of dentures attached to traditional implants (implant overdentures): $9,000 to $11,000 per arch</li>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="New Teeth in NJ" border="0" height="200" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWhsU5HX2IsutqtJYXSugUCgDSWpqdfpA6C9UuPx9-gP7oNj02QoCCdcNzUCDTg8C19XDpBDgVS9jctIe40yvBF8uO2x3Ab5qgXkDPesJ4-XzLnXSaYUfsOHLuMxdwTLt0723YTThyAbI/s200/New+Teeth+in+NJ.jpg" title="New Teeth in NJ" vspce="5" width="190" />The more expensive the treatment, the higher quality, more durable and longer lasting the technology used to provide New York residents with dental implants.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>What Are the Benefits of Dental Implants?</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Dental implants provide New York residents with new teeth that are better in aesthetics, comfort and function than any traditional teeth replacement technology. They also help to maintain the health of the underlying jawbone, which prevents premature aging and even further tooth loss. Dental implants are the number 1 recommendation of dental healthcare professionals in New York because of their benefits, so if you’ve lost one or more of your natural teeth, this is certainly an option worth considering.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome back! This is the second half of a two-part article series on the “All-On-4” dental implant protocol and what makes a patient the ideal candidate to receive new teeth in New Jersey. In <a href="http://newteethoneday.blogspot.com/2013/11/am-i-candidate-for-all-on-4-procedure.html" target="_blank">Part 1</a>, we discussed the challenges facing traditional dental implant techniques and why it is that some New Jersey residents believe they are not candidates for fixed oral rehabilitation (a non removable bridge). In this article, we shall discuss the virtues that make a patient the ideal candidate for the “All-On-4” and what health factors might compromise this candidacy.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>First and Foremost...</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Dental Implant Professional New Jersey" border="0" height="133" hs="" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPH4UFlztcMswxFOO5QOEBAIxmDjP2yHkoIADM0rpAow761fH-NCizXSjCj3JXgDCqSxgH5gehp7Nw57qYo5xC5eDyQ55clT6iCMCpbLKsDRnJ5wn4AUvHiqLQg7ma34O3WxaH92tJGt4/s320/New+Teeth.jpg" style="text-align: left;" title="Dental Implant Professional New Jersey" vspace="5" width="200" />
“The great thing about the All-On-4 is that nearly every patient that walks in the doors of a dental implant center is a candidate for this procedure,” explains a dental implant professional in New Jersey. “Even if he or she has been wearing dentures for five or ten years and has been previously told by his or her dentist that they are not a candidate for dental implants. The ‘All-On-4™’ is specifically designed to provide great solutions for a group of people who formerly were not considered ideal candidates for implants.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ideally, of course, you should be in good general and oral health. The “All-On-4” can provide nearly everyone with new teeth, but just like any other surgery, it is important that the patient is strong and healthy. The healing success of the implants also hinges on the jawbone being in good health, so if you present with advanced periodontal (gum) disease, you will need to have the condition treated and infection eliminated first.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Having said that, few people who need new teeth are truly in good oral health, so this is by no means an insurmountable obstacle.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Potentially Complicating Factors</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="New Teeth" border="0" height="133" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLC_AZGTLBpqIKHwAG1MzVFbgk_-V1tBOzrDCjJhzeniVE_EC6N7KEjvvyr9aBkC0hu8pFOA_zSD68st6zrW7f8qJjSDSKyNXbCkjQ24-N5pRs5EmYBIQirPsElJQ9fu7u2sj0PaYL8og/s320/Dental+Implant+Professional+New+Jersey.jpg" title="New Teeth" vspace="5" width="200" />There are only a handful of rare medical conditions that might compel a dental implant professional in New Jersey to reconsider surgery. The safety of every patient is a primary concern of any surgeon, so if you have a blood clotting disorder, severe respiratory disease or a serious heart condition, it may not be in your best interest to proceed with treatment. Additionally, certain bone disorders and conditions, such as uncontrolled diabetes, might increase your risk of implant failure. Should this risk be too high, it may not be wise to undergo such a procedure.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is why it’s so important for you to discuss your full medical history with your dental professional before considering getting new teeth in New Jersey. You should also give him or her comprehensive list of any medications you may be taking. If necessary, the dentist will consult with your treating physician to make sure you’re in good enough health to proceed with dental implant surgery.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>A Final Note on “All-On-4” Candidacy</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
At the end of the day, nearly 100% of the patients who want to get new teeth are candidates for the "All-On-4" technique. Few problems and challenges cannot be surmounted by an experienced and skilled dental implant professionals in New Jersey. What you shouldn’t do is allow any concerns to get in the way of consulting with a professional. They are more than happy to review your case and provide you with a treatment plan that will enable you to eat, speak and smile with the confidence you thought you had lost many years ago along with your natural teeth.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b><i>This two-part article series provides an overview of what makes a patient the ideal candidate for the “All-On-4” dental implant protocol and what factors might compromise candidacy.</i></b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Since its conception in the early 1990’s, the “All-on-4” dental implant protocol has changed the lives of thousands of New Jersey residents: people who previously had to cope with the challenges and crippling loss of self-esteem that comes with a life without most or all of one’s natural teeth. Conventional removable dentures have, for hundreds of years, provided edentulous and near-edentulous people with a solution, but one that is incredibly limited and with more than its fair share of problems. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With the introduction of dental implants to the market in the 20th Century, dentists were able to provide patients with new fixed teeth, but only after an expensive and painful journey of 12 to 18 months. That all changed in 1993 when the “All-On-4” was introduced to the market, which now makes it possible for people to get new teeth in New Jersey, in as little as one day.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img alt="New Teeth in New Jersey" border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3fCkEMVSavFlJH0nDQM-TgvofI7MrDNDRLrey4sq51eW4Op99Jd28IcMwTkiD5iVAycqucjihxHZP9JpFLYjNH4Idt3qnd5d962TcJf4hyYlL-6IGAGjUDZTApsUF_rgvnFsNt7GIh8g/s400/New+Teeth+in+New+Jersey.jpg" title="New Teeth in New Jersey" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So... are you a candidate? In this two-part article series, we shall be exploring the problems facing traditional dental implant techniques, which is why many New Jersey residents believe they are not candidates for fixed oral rehabilitation. Then, in Part 2, an experienced “All-On-4” Stamford dental implants specialist will describe the perfect candidate for this procedure and what health issues might potentially get in the way.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b>The Challenges Facing Traditional Dental Implant Techniques</b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The “All-On-4™” is a unique dental implant protocol specifically designed to cater to New Jersey residents who have lost most or all of their natural teeth to periodontal (gum) disease. If this applies to you and if you currently wear partial or full removable dentures, then the “All-On-4” is most definitely a teeth replacement solution you should consider. The problem is, many New Jersey residents in need of new teeth have been told by their dentists that they are not candidates for dental implants because they have gone without natural teeth for so long. As a result, their jawbones have atrophied to such an extent that they don’t have the volume to accommodate implants.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The great news is that the “All-On-4” was innovated for these people. The technique’s designer, Dr. Paulo Malo, discovered that through the strategic placement of only four dental implants in regions of the mouth that naturally contain a greater volume of more atrophy-resistant bone tissue, enough support could indeed be provided for a fixed and non-removable dental bridge. The locations of these implants are typically in the front of the mouth and at the back, in the region of the second and third molars (see image below).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img alt="Stamford dental implants" border="0" height="222" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgX1tLz64tXWz8CWC7_mNba4auX3zpZBUZbQtclxABf9AH1s23-kCZEK472ZlsC_tLhhrrMeA7FlFBRp2rlOGvuJL2RTEeik86bUFAnRELpR9ezWc_qRj0Ng9sanz7PRmaHSZf1dWND6M/s400/All-On-4+.png" title="Stamford dental implants" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Using sophisticated diagnostic equipment and computer imaging software, “All-On-4” specialists in New Jersey are able to determine the perfect and most stable configuration of implants so that patients can receive a brand new set of teeth in as little as a single dental appointment. What this means is that no matter how long you have been wearing dentures for, you should be able to get <b>new teeth in New Jersey</b> in as little as one day! And even if you have lost a substantial amount of bone volume to gum disease, there are creative solutions to be found. Bone grafting is typically avoided by the “All-On-4”, which saves patients money and time in recovery, but if necessary, it can make it possible for patients to get new fixed teeth.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Welcome to the final installment of this four-part article series on the efforts we can make – over and above brushing and flossing – to keep our teeth and gums in beautiful lifelong condition. In our previous article post, Part 3, we spoke to a dental implants specialist in Rutherford who explained the following two important tips to us:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>5. Kick the habit:</b> Smoking causes tooth discoloration, gum disease, tooth loss and oral cancer.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>6. Choose the right toothbrush</b> to get the very best out of your home oral hygiene efforts.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">In this article, the final installment of the series, we shall be looking at two final bits of advice dental healthcare professionals have for New Jersey residents.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">7. Technique, Technique, Technique!</span></b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<img align="right" alt="Brushing" border="0" height="133" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-L7ljS3DCu6qX-TUJhE6c6jU-BNOKVTO8O6G8LCDP5vy7pMSG0wgqSSFkBJ7q_DvWrhbsyG6jw3A48LiTQ4TjXXbBboq-cKe09FgnphlzTldO0A47l0bWEjl_RbSuuZjdMmMTbBA-1Y4/s200/Dental+implants+Rutherford.jpg" title="Brushing" vspace="5" width="200" />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“You can brush your teeth for three minutes at a time, but if you’re not brushing properly, you simply won’t be getting the clean you need in order to keep bacteria at bay,” says the dental implants specialist in Rutherford. “Because we’ve been brushing our teeth for as long as we can remember, bad habits can become terribly entrenched. We always encourage our patients to reassess their brushing technique and try to learn the correct methods that will give them the most thorough clean.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Here are some important tips for brushing:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Approximately 30 minutes after every meal is preferable (this allows the PH levels in your mouth a chance to neutralize).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Brush your teeth for two minutes at a time, spending 30 seconds scrubbing each quadrant of the mouth.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Hold the toothbrush at 45 degrees to your gum line. Use short circular brushes to clean the crowns of your teeth and your gums,” says a new teeth specialist in NJ.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Don’t push down too hard! If your toothbrush’s bristles start looking frayed after only a few weeks of using it, you may be using too much force. This can do terrible damage to your teeth and gums.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Store your toothbrush in a dry sheltered place, away from the flushing toilet. Don’t use those special toothbrush storage caps, because they prevent evaporation from drying out your toothbrush. Bacteria thrive in moist environments.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">8. Flossing Technique is Important Too!</span></b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<img align="right" alt="New teeth NJ" border="0" height="200" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8O8uyruJknweDreLO1Dj6CY67EVygX_tG1MJwjvZj8CIapEoVzpx0LQI75sf7W8NMinLiP_Bop0NAWbM_XLh4E0Pir9zb-JIfTfs5hIuuzmK5xNsL5YztAN12aUSP2vIThs-SQPdk6gc/s200/New+teeth+NJ.jpg" title="Flossing" vspace="5" width="179" />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Brushing takes care of the front, top and back surfaces of your teeth, but what about the sides? This is where flossing becomes essential and explains just why people who neglect to do so daily are at a much higher risk of tooth decay. “Flossing is an integral part of any home oral hygiene routine,” explains a dental implants specialist in Rutherford. “If you don’t floss, you neglect to clean 35% of your teeth surfaces! Flossing is essential for good oral health, so make sure you give your teeth a go-over before you go to bed at night.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">What about flossing technique?</span></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Just like brushing, if you don’t floss correctly, you could damage your gums and fail to give the contact points between your teeth a proper clean. “Wrap a decent-sized section of floss around your index finger (about a foot of floss),” says a new teeth specialist in NJ. “Gently work the floss between your teeth, pulling it against the one surface of your tooth, down and then up again against the other surface of the adjacent tooth in a U-shape. Repeat. For each tooth, use a fresh section of floss.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">A Final Note</span></b></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">By brushing and flossing correctly, seeing your dentist and oral hygienist for regular scheduled appointments and avoiding the bad habits that lead to tooth decay and gum disease, you can keep your teeth in excellent lifelong condition. Never forget the important connection between good oral health and a beautiful smile... or the connection between a healthy mouth and a healthy body!</span></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Welcome to the third installment of this four-part article series on the efforts we can make – over and above brushing and flossing – to keep our oral health in beautiful lifelong condition. In our previous article post, Part 2, we spoke to a Stamford dental implants specialist who explained the following two important tips to us:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>3. Get dental healthcare that is appropriate for your age:</b> Be aware that young children, even babies, require periodic professional dental check-ups. At the other end of the age spectrum, elderly people should be extra careful about looking after their teeth and gums considering the greater risk of tooth loss.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>4. Cut down on sugar:</b> Sugar fuels bacterial activity and bacteria produce acidic by-products. The combination of sugar and acid takes a substantial toll on the health of your teeth and gums, which is why it’s so important for Stamford residents to minimize sugar intake.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In this article, the third installment of the series, we shall be looking at the next two bits of advice Stamford dental implants specialists have for us...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<b>5. Give Tobacco the Kick</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img alt="Stamford Dental Implants" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqJJiy3LoTDtkMi0TgYpW5JtSG9Y-JMPUSIlIoE46diNvAtbNW55rhaFR_KSvvY-bVoOB9cqyJRCOyEaZDfyoB1uTSHtCKoXS0H2GDpF8xHsZ3qxRNe648DpgdzEcybUu8osBshyphenhyphenXR70k/s1600/Stamford+dental+implants.jpg" title="Stamford Dental Implants" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Oh you’ve heard this one before… but not from your dentist. Usually it’s your doctor giving you the third degree about your nicotine addiction. This time, it’s the Stamford dental implants specialist – the professional who gives patients new teeth because their original ones were lost to gum disease – who is bringing your attention to the importance of kicking the habit. The chemicals in cigarette smoke don’t only discolor your teeth, turning them a most unattractive shade of yellowy brown, they also thicken the blood and impede saliva production.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“The effects of smoking on the mouth serve to decrease your immunity to infection and slow your recovery from injury or surgery,” explains the Stamford dental implants specialist. “This means that any dental work you do have done is less likely to be successful or last as long, which is ironic because it’s often smokers that require dental work owing to the damage this habit does to their teeth and gums.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Smoking also irritates the soft tissues in the mouth, causing them to become red and inflamed. It causes a build-up of plaque on the teeth, destroys the jawbone supporting the teeth and leads to an increased risk of gum disease and oral cancer. “The vast majority of ex-smokers who have quit sought some kind of support or help, be it therapy or medicinal. Speak to your doctor about what cessation programs are available in your city.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
6. <b>Use the Correct Toothbrush</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<img align="right" alt="New Teeth" border="0" height="320" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnLyxzSVHtdEpX3ytGaMWiylpnZa0GCVOH2TFv173uE0xu3onymtUGS2GBFnl6mqSoJA9gqdH-WXE-LnhsTLiFWLrPt9zYqKfYETv11zt3aQEOoh9ECQ0MuR7zX-xuCyByKl9TJHPXWYU/s320/New+Teeth.jpg" title="New Teeth" vspace="5" width="220" />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Modern supermarkets offer a staggering variety of just about everything and the oral hygiene aisle is no different. With toothbrushes in every conceivable color and shape, most Stamford residents find themselves simply opting for the cheapest brush. While you don’t need to spend a lot of money to get a decent toothbrush, there are a couple of attributes you should be on the lookout for...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Go for soft to medium bristles. “Hard bristles can erode your dental enamel and irritate your gums,” says a Stamford dental implants specialist.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Make sure your toothbrush has a comfortable grip. You’ll be inclined to brush for longer if you don’t struggle to hold it in place.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Replace your toothbrush every three to four months, or when it starts looking frayed. Bent bristles are totally ineffectual at cleaning your teeth and gums.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. Replace your toothbrush after a bout of the flu or any other viral infection to prevent making yourself sick again.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Welcome to the second installment of this four-part article series on the efforts we can make - over and above brushing and flossing - to keep our oral health in beautiful lifelong condition. In our introductory article, we spoke to a dental implants specialist in Stamford CT who explained the first two important tips to us:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>1. Regularly scheduled appointments</b> with a dental healthcare professional: once per year for most Stamford residents and twice per year for those who have been previously diagnosed with dental problems, such as tooth decay or gum disease.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>2. Cutting down on or cutting out soda</b>. The high sugar and acid content of these beverages put Stamford residents at a much greater risk of cavities, tooth decay and acid erosion.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">In this article, the second installment of the series, we shall be looking at the next two bits of advice dental healthcare professionals have for us. By following this advice, you can save yourself the trauma of gum disease and tooth loss and the associated new teeth implant costs in NJ.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>3. Get Dental Care Appropriate for Your Age</b></span></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/" target="_blank"><img align="left" alt="Dental implants Stamford CT" border="0" height="131" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLNGh-dN-kTgVx7Sz3tM5JFz2QxVkGtbaiDPkbe6OACRPmOU5UnVdJPH79Y19c8pd_MxrwAFEJQlg_mebPfrkwVYI2q4vFEEMLhTP71JAsJDVHnsLabHnd2MKNc_rnwz4UU8Jgz94DZgM/s200/Dental+implants+Stamford+CT.jpg" title="Dental implants Stamford CT" vspace="5" width="200" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Just because your tot doesn't have all of his or her teeth yet, doesn't mean that you don’t need to book an appointment with the dentist. “Young children should see the dentist by the age of 1 and once per year moving forward,” explains a dental implant specialist in Stamford CT. “This not only ensures that the health of their developing teeth is kept in check, but it also gets young children used to going for frequent dental check-ups... a habit they should keep for life!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">As a parent, it is also advised that you supervise your children when brushing and flossing their teeth. Only once they are coordinated enough to tie their own shoelaces should you leave them alone to scrub their own teeth. Make sure you check in every once in awhile! Children can be lazy about taking proper care of their teeth.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i>What about the other end of the age spectrum?</i></span></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">“Elderly people need to take special care of their teeth and gums or else they’ll find themselves having to cover teeth implant costs,” says a <i>NJ dental implant</i> specialist. “As one gets older, one tends to produce less saliva and this renders the mouth more vulnerable to infection. Other diseases that share a relationship with oral health can also crop up in one’s latter years, which makes tooth loss more likely. Be thorough in your approach to caring for your teeth and see your dentist regularly to keep you out of dentures!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>4. Hold the Sugar!</b></span></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img align="right" alt="New Teeth One Day" border="0" height="132" hspace="10" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcY9ZjckVACIRGTy7Y29Y7_-_wbTy32N1_qoyAIJNAvF8wBC_kMse0A4hf4unk6el_TVTW7bkC0-UIEB4xzb7alXpOLRHOJ6xGlG0s8Q5IGrnVIitM-N5NnBr9bAtiDAQVelYe-Ube578/s200/New+Teeth+One+Day.jpg" title="New Teeth One Day" vspace="5" width="200" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Sugar fuels oral bacteria, making it a prime cause for tooth decay and cavities. To make matters worse, bacteria produce acidic wastes, so the higher your diet is in sugar, the more acidic an environment your mouth will be. “The combination of sugar and acid is lethal for the health of your teeth and gums,” says a dental implants specialist in Stamford CT. “Cut down on sugar by drinking water instead of sweet beverages. Halve the amount of sugar you take in your tea and coffee, avoid sugary indulgences and brush and floss your teeth after every meal!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Everyone wants a healthy mouth because a healthy mouth often means a beautiful smile, fresh breath and eating without discomfort or difficulty. A healthy mouth also saves you all the restorative expenses incurred by bad oral health, cavities, tooth decay, gum disease and tooth loss. “But brushing and flossing are really only the ABC’s of what it takes to keep your mouth in beautiful condition,” says an experienced new teeth specialist in New York. “There are a number of very important things patients could be doing or avoiding in order to prevent the oral diseases that deteriorate oral health.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">In this four-part article series, we shall be examining 8 tips for greater oral health, which means a broader, brighter smile for New York residents!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>1. Book an Appointment with the Dentist</b></span></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><a href="http://www.newteethoneday.com/" target="_blank"><img align="left" alt="New teeth New York" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHtpLZYDVhHCHhYgzX1ocKkvM8ze6HR8_U2C_Our6hUJ9Ft2EG1LM1mxau06HLFKfKq1u4YshDA0mJ3AWC74cbIRHHZpzo5l16_oqw5epSDHiekAjXclGxYLVmOaQKRxqfHF-9JeQOmoQ/s200/New+teeth+New+York.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="New teeth New York" vspace="5" width="132" /></a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">You should see your dentist at least once a year, even if you think there’s nothing wrong with your teeth. “The diseases that cause tooth loss typically don’t present with pain, especially in the beginning stages and this makes them easy for patients to ignore,” says a dental implant specialist in New York. “If you go for regular professional dental check-ups, your dentist will be able to diagnose potential problems in their infancy and provide you with treatment before infection or decay has a chance to do permanent damage.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i>But I’m worried about the expense. If my teeth seem fine, surely I can put off a dental appointment.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">50% of New York residents put off that essential annual appointment with the dentist either out of a concern for finances or because they suffer from a phobia of dental treatment. “The ironic thing is, patients who avoid the dentist to save money are more likely to have to spend triple the amount, if not more, on restorative treatment for problems that could have easily and inexpensively been addressed earlier on,” says a new teeth specialist in New York. “Prevention is always better and less expensive than cure. So even if you suffer from a phobia of the dentist, it will serve you in the long run to face those annual appointments. Rather that than gum disease, tooth decay, tooth loss and the need for surgery!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Another important reason for regularly scheduled appointments with a dentist is for early cancer detection, especially if you are a smoker or alcohol drinker.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>2. Say "So Long” to Soda</b></span></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<img align="right" alt="Dental implant New York" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxaraNTg1oIedtL0nbkILR4t5tt26hVvWIgA-yu25b5tUfoduFOVUQKncWwBow3NlMjKlep8IalFCzLi-cyD6SZZNJx0NzzM6JXK3bT7U2UHMRIntjZNABElKR7Np-LSLneKaDg5NMzfI/s200/Dental+implant+New+York.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Dental implant New York" vspace="5" width="200" /><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">You may enjoy an ice-cold fizzy beverage every now and then, but when you find yourself treating soda as a daily staple, you will in all likelihood be at a substantially greater risk of tooth decay than someone who quenches his or her thirst with water. “Soda is not only packed with sugar, it’s also very acidic,” says a dental implant specialist in New York. “Your standard can of pop contains citric acid and phosphoric acid, both of which soften the protective enamel covering your teeth. This leaves them more vulnerable to erosion and to cavities.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Cut down on the amount of soda you drink. A glass once a day or every two days won’t harm you, but if you drink much more than that, it will take a toll on the health of your teeth in the long run. If you find water a total bore, you might consider adding a squeeze of lemon and/or some crushed mint leaves to it to give it a bit of a kick! Add crushed berries to the mix and you’ve got yourself a real party for your taste buds!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h3>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i>This four-part article series seeks to challenge the many excuses made by people for not flossing their teeth on a daily basis.</i></span></span></h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Welcome to the final installment of this four-part article series on the importance of flossing and why all those excuses we make for neglecting it simply don’t stand to reason. Throughout the course of the series, dental implant specialists in New Jersey have exposed and discussed six common excuses provided by patients, which, to recap, are:</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>Excuse # 1:</b> I don’t usually get food caught between my teeth so I don’t really need to floss.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>Excuse # 2:</b> The floss I use keeps shredding and getting caught between my teeth.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>Excuse # 3:</b> No one ever showed me how to floss properly.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>Excuse # 4:</b> I’ve had dental work done, which makes it really difficult for me to floss.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>Excuse # 5:</b> I just don’t have the co-ordination to floss properly.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>Excuse # 6:</b> I just don’t have the time to floss every day.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">These specialists have also provided recommendations for combating the various challenges we claim to prevent us from flossing properly. In this article, we shall present the final two flossing excuses.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><img align="Right" alt="Dental Implant New Jersey" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwYgvjqe2mAcYIGmf95RY6ZCtOP6l5B12oAjIf-HVqZtfEJAOADAbj15sGwN7LgYvaQhpfdxjR9Upo94T-J02Ugw4MowaymRf_ntLa8vEA9va8tSSb7gcn5ITKedtTu8M8n6b20PPlnoU/s200/Dental+Implant+New+Jersey.jpg" height="200" hspace="10" title="Dental Implant New Jersey" vspace="5" width="177" /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: left;">Flunking Flossing Excuse # 7: </span><i style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: left;">Flossing actually hurts my gums, so I’d rather avoid it.</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">If your gums hurt when you floss and possibly even bleed, then you most likely have inflamed, infected gums. Conditions such as gingivitis and gum disease leave the gums swollen, weakened and sensitive. “While it may seem counter-intuitive to do something that causes you discomfort and makes you bleed, flossing is actually incredibly beneficial to restoring the health of your gums,” says a dental implant specialist in New Jersey.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">“By removing the plaque and debris that are irritating and inflaming your gums in the first place, you’ll improve their health and leave them stronger. With time, usually within a week or two if you only have mild gingivitis, flossing should become very comfortable and your gums should cease to bleed. If, however, your problems persist, you should seek the attention of your dentist.”</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Flunking Flossing Excuse # 8: <i>I struggle to get the floss between my teeth. They must be positioned too closely together.</i></span></span></h3>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">“Some patients’ teeth sit very snugly together and as such, they may experience difficulties using unwaxed floss,” say </span>new teeth New York specialists<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">. “If this applies to you, then we recommend that you opt for waxed floss or the brands made from polytetrafluoroethylene, which is a very slippery compound.”</span></div>
